Today my ophthalmologist declared, "You're basically cured." As to my feelings of unease with my new eyes (post cataract surgery), he said, "It will take time. This is a lot different from what you were used to."
And, to my complaint about moving from close to far in painting and drawing, he wrote me a prescription for progressive bifocals, adding, "You'll have to experiment to see what works for you."
And that's it. I'm on my own.
I'm glad I made this morning's drawing before I saw the doctor, because my eyes are now dilated and I'm having trouble seeing anything:
