A Year of Making Art, Day 311: Pure Blue Sky
It did cheer me up (see previous post) to have Laura and Jim over to dinner last night, especially when we had champagne to drink. They brought strawberries dipped in dark chocolate for dessert, and that made it perfect.
In this morning's drawing I focused on reds to yellows with calligraphy pens:
Then I stretched five new canvases, which I will gesso tomorrow. After that, Laura came over and we went for a wonderful walk in the woods. It was sunny and warmer than it's been, with a pure blue sky as background for the dark trees and snow-covered ground.
(Note: There is a gap between the dates I'm writing and posting in order to give me time to get ahead.)
