I had signed and titled seven canvases in my "modern art" series, but as I was reviewing them, I decided no. 6 didn't look quite finished:

I began by filling in some of the whirlpool-like centers, mixing the acrylic paint with water and gloss medium. I didn't want to fill in all the shapes, but to leave the background showing through in places. Here's what I had at the end of the session:

Now that I started the process, I'll have to keep going to make this work.
