This painting was different for me, in that it is fairly simple. The background patches of color show through clearly, rough vertical and horizontal lines divide the canvas into a grid, with sections painted in translucent washes of pale colors. Four squares are painted in solid colors: brilliant blue, permanent green light, cadmium red light, and cadmium yellow light.
